Senior Governance Risk Manager

About the Job:

The Senior Governance Risk Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance across our organisation's technology group. This role includes accountability for identifying and developing future capabilities within the Technology Group. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of frameworks, processes, and reporting, ensuring alignment with our strategic direction and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain governance frameworks, policies and reporting processes.
  • Oversee technology risk management, including ownership of the risk register and resilience strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State and local directives, policies, and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop, implement and maintain capability frameworks for the Technology Group.
  • Lead audits and reviews, ensuring recommendations are addressed effectively.
Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in governance, risk management, compliance, information technology, law, business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in governance, risk, and compliance leadership within a technology, ICT, or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement governance and risk frameworks aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to technology operations.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, develop and retain talent.
