Job Overview

This role is pivotal in strengthening governance, risk management, and compliance across Technology Group.

The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of frameworks, processes, and reporting to ensure alignment with strategic direction and regulatory obligations.

The role involves providing advice that enables informed decision-making, strengthens risk resilience, ensures regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain governance frameworks, policies, and reporting processes.
  • Oversee technology risk management, including ownership of the risk register and resilience strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and relevant directives, policies, and regulatory obligations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain capability frameworks for the Technology Group.
  • Lead audits and reviews, ensuring recommendations are addressed effectively.
  • Act as primary advisor on governance, risk, and compliance matters to Technology Group leaders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by embedding lean, efficient, and agile governance practices.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in governance, risk management, compliance, information technology, law, business, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience in governance, risk, and compliance leadership within a technology, ICT, or similar environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement governance and risk frameworks aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to technology operations.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, with ability to inspire, develop, and retain talent.
About the Person

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader in governance, risk, and compliance, preferably within a technology or ICT environment.

They will have commercial mindset, ability to design and implement frameworks that drive accountability and compliance, and strong stakeholder engagement to advise senior leaders and communicate complex concepts clearly.

They should have demonstrated people leadership, passion for process improvement (lean or Six Sigma), and agile approach to governance. Certifications in governance, risk, and compliance are highly regarded.
