About Our School Health ProfessionalThe role of the School Health Professional is pivotal in supporting the overall well-being and health of students and staff within our educational setting. Guided by a deep sense of compassion and professional excellence, this individual provides timely medical care, manages chronic conditions, and ensures the safe administration of medication – all while upholding our commitment to nurturing each child as a unique individual.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide prompt medical care to students and staff
  • Manage chronic conditions and ensure safe administration of medication
  • Uphold quality, safety, and infection control procedures in line with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and other support staff to promote student health and wellbeing
Selection Criteria
  • Holding an active Christian faith and regularly attending a Christian Church
  • Demonstrating a commitment to our school's Vision, Mission and Values, including the Statement of Faith
  • Possessing a Bachelor of Nursing degree (or equivalent qualification)
  • Holding a current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
  • Demonstrating strong clinical experience in patient assessment, treatment, and ongoing care
  • Possessing a valid Working with Children Check (or being willing to obtain one)
  • Demonstrating excellent organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm, efficient, and methodical in a dynamic environment
  • Having high attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy in documentation and procedures
  • Demonstrating outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate clearly
