Associate Economic Analyst Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality economic advice and analysis in relation to federal financial relations, horizontal fiscal equalization (HFE), and Goods and Services Tax (GST).

You will provide advice and research on policy, financial, and economic impacts of vertical fiscal imbalance (VFI) and HFE, analyse priorities for reform, and support engagement with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification in economics, econometrics, statistics, public policy, law, research, evaluation, or related fields. Professional experience in providing policy advice, research, or economic analysis is highly favourable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to high-quality economic advice and analysis in relation to federal financial relations, HFE, and GST.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in economics, econometrics, statistics, public policy, law, research, evaluation, or related fields.
  • Professional experience in providing policy advice, research, or economic analysis is highly favourable.
