Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Urological Surgeon to join our dynamic team at Launceston General Hospital. As a Consultant Urologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, participating in clinical activities, and contributing to the development of our urology department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform surgical procedures in the Main Theatre Suite and Day Procedure Unit
  • See patients in the Outpatient Clinic and provide consultative services for other specialty units
  • Supervise clinical work of junior medical staff and ensure accurate clinical records are maintained
  • Participate in Unit and Departmental Management Meetings, continuing education, and teaching of clinical staff
  • Contribute to the development of our urology department and participate in clinical reviews and research activities
Requirements
  • Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in Urology/Urological Surgery
  • Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable)
