We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Practitioner to join our team at the Launceston General Hospital as a Staff Specialist in General Medicine/Acute Care Services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist medical care to patients attending the Launceston General Hospital (LGH)
- Be involved in research and quality improvement activities, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the LGH
- Provide specialist advice to inpatient units as required
- Holds specialist registration
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who is on the specialist pathway
- Is a registered Medical Practitioner who is an International Medical Graduate (IMG) who has a recognised overseas specialist qualification and is assessed as having sufficient experience in the specialty
- Experience in acute stroke care including thrombolysis
- Experience or interest in intermediate care models including hospital avoidance programs
- Permanent, day worker with on-call position, working 76 hours per fortnight
- Salary range: $210,000 - $310,349 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Relocation and commencement support available up to $15,000 for approved appointees
