About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our Acute Medicine department as a Staff Specialist/Consultant. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a highly proficient team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care for patients with gastrointestinal disorders.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures, including capsule endoscopy.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with IBD, chronic liver disease, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
- Collaborate with other medical disciplines to provide consultative services in Gastroenterology.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.

Requirements:
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA as a FRACP (Gastroenterologist)
- IMG's eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada or Ireland)
- SIMG's assessed by RACP College as Substantially comparable will be considered (doctors currently interviewing with RACP may express their interest)
- Doctors that will be awarded the fellowship (FRACP) in the next 6 months are encouraged to apply
