About the Role:
The Department of Health, Tasmania is seeking a highly skilled Colorectal Surgeon to join our team as a Senior Staff Specialist. This is a fixed-term, part-time position working 36 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a three-year period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide quality specialist and subspecialty medical services to the Launceston General Hospital within the limits of specified clinical privileges.
- Work collaboratively with our team of surgeons and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the education and training of medical students and junior doctors.
Requirements:
- Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty.
- Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role.
- Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or equivalent.
