Telecommunications Field Technician Trainee

Skillinvest is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Telecommunications Field Technician Trainee. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience and a nationally recognized qualification in telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain telecommunications equipment and networks
  • Assist in the construction and maintenance of telecommunications networks
  • Place or terminate cables, including those made of optical fiber
  • Undertake proof tests such as line testing, circuit commissioning and power tests
  • Assemble, erect, position and label items of equipment
  • Install and maintain telecommunication and other data systems at customers' premises
Requirements:
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Passion for telecommunications technology
  • Driver's License
  • White card and First Aid or must obtain
  • Ability to travel to regional locations
  • Availability for overtime
  • Able to commit to the role and seeking a long-term opportunity
