About This Role

The Associate Director, Academic Engagement is a critical member of UNSW's Library senior management team. As a key leader in the delivery of high-quality teaching and outreach services, this role oversees staff who collaborate with Faculties and Schools to connect academics with Library resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement teaching services aligned with the University's strategic priorities
  • Lead the planning, resource management, and stakeholder engagement for innovative Library services
  • Manage two teams, report to the Director of Information Services, and supervise direct reports
What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience at a management level within an academic library
  • Substantial experience in planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality library services
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead people and teams in a changing environment
  • Experience in developing and maintaining collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and engaging across UNSW
  • Sound understanding of pedagogies and educational technologies in the higher education sector
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
