About the Role

The Director Planning, Environment and Communities will lead a diverse directorate of professionals in delivering services to the community of Kiama. This role will focus on partnering with stakeholders and influencing strategic policy related to planning, the environment, and community services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Planning and Development Facilitation team
  • Oversee the Culture and Libraries team
  • Manage the Community Hubs, including the Leisure Centre
  • Lead the Environmental and Compliance Services team
  • Head the Tourism, Events and Economic Development team
  • Lead the Communications and engagement team
About You

This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded individual to lead a significant directorate in a coastal location. The successful candidate will have a history of delivering positive outcomes, leading teams through change, and building cultures that drive results. Advanced communication and advocacy skills are essential, as is the ability to develop effective partnerships with stakeholders.
