About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Supermarkets Operations Finance team at Woolworths Group. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in collaborating with the stock loss leadership team to analyze data, advise on initiatives, and assess returns that generate stock loss improvement in stores.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with the stock loss leadership team to analyze data, advise on initiatives, and assess returns that generate stock loss improvement in stores.
  • Provide insightful analysis, clear weekly commentary, and actionable insights on a department and state basis.
  • Support and partner with finance teams and stakeholders with weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements and analysis.
  • Support and lead across key processes, including the monthly forecast, annual operating plan, and tracking key initiatives.
  • Support on ad hoc analysis as required and engage with stakeholders to drive actionable insights and plans.
  • Identify and implement opportunities that improve processes across the broader Food Group Finance Team.

Requirements

  • You will ideally have had multinational FMCG experience and supported teams across national retail.
  • CA/CPA qualification preferred.
  • You are a true business partner with proven ability and can communicate with impact, an analytical mindset, and problem-solving skills.
  • You are able to multitask and work on multiple ongoing projects in an agile working environment.
  • Previous experience in budgeting, reporting, and analysis preferred.
  • Experience in using data, analytics, and visualization tools to drive business decisions.
  • Strong systems experience (SAP and Business Objects preferred), advanced financial modeling skills, and experience with SQL, GCP, and Tableau are preferred.
