Range Management Services Coordinator

About the Role
">The successful applicant will manage and deliver the cluster of services categorised as Training Areas and Ranges. This is a permanent full-time position based in Port Augusta.
">Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all required services are planned, coordinated and delivered according to the specific base and service locations requirements for the training areas and ranges services.
- Manage minor training area maintenance, including the allocation, tasking and sourcing of internal labour, subcontractors and equipment.
- Conduct service inspections and ensure necessary supervision is in place to effectively supervise the service delivery requirements.
- Coordinate bookings for, and access to the Range or Training Area, as well as manage the Range communications network.
- Manage fire-fighting equipment, including Fire Tankers to a serviceable and fully operational condition, where applicable.
- Operate an efficient and safe Range service for all facilities, equipment and personnel, while coordinating and controlling Range safety.
Requirements
- A thorough knowledge of ranges service delivery and statutory compliance requirements is desirable.
- A sound understanding of Contract Management, Quality Management systems and the continuous improvement process is essential.
- Knowledge of Defence roles, functions and organisation is also required.
- An ability to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers and Client representatives is crucial.
- Must hold a current driver's licence to operate range vehicles/equipment and have good radio communications skills.
