Job Overview


Ventia is seeking an experienced Range Supervisor to provide Range Management services to the Defence Forces.


Key Responsibilities



  1. Ensure all required services are planned, coordinated and delivered according to the specific base and service locations requirements for the training areas and ranges services.
  2. Allocate, task and source internal labour, subcontractors and equipment as needed.
  3. Conduct regular service inspections to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  4. Coordinate bookings and access to the Range or Training Area.
  5. Manage the Range communications network and minor training area maintenance.
  6. Oversee the maintenance of fire-fighting equipment and ensure it is serviceable and fully operational.
  7. Coordinate and control Range safety.

Required Skills and Experience


Ventia is looking for a candidate with thorough knowledge of ranges service delivery and statutory compliance requirements.


A sound understanding of Contract Management, Quality Management systems and the continuous improvement process is also essential.


The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Defence roles, functions and organisation and well-developed computer, word processing and technical knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Power point.


They must be able to interact effectively with technical staff, subcontractors, senior military officers and Client representatives.


A current driver's licence to operate range vehicles/equipment is also required.


Good radio communications skills are essential for this role.
