Leadership Opportunity in Education

The role of Assistant Principal, Curriculum and Instruction, focuses on enhancing literacy and numeracy teaching practices across the curriculum. A strong educational leader will be required to build the capacity of middle leaders and strengthen schoolwide instructional capabilities.

Main Responsibilities

  • To implement evidence-informed literacy and numeracy practices to improve teaching, learning, and assessment across the curriculum.
  • Provide high-impact professional learning to develop teacher expertise in literacy and numeracy instruction.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan, teach, and evaluate the impact of evidence-informed teaching strategies for improved student outcomes.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Suitable teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice.
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning.
