About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in Canberra South. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disabilities in your local community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for providing active, person-centred support to people with disabilities within our lifestyle support settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and domestic assistance to clients
  • Supporting clients in accessing the community and transportation
  • Maintaining and monitoring person-centred plans
  • Documenting and progress note keeping
  • Developing strong relationships with clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships and strong rapport with clients and their families
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence and own registered and reliable vehicle

What We Offer:

  • Casual hourly rate from $40.26 + Super + reimbursed per kilometre travelled
