Apparel Planner Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Merchandise Planner-Apparel to join our amazing merchandise planning team. This is your chance to make a significant impact and contribute to shaping our product offerings.

Our Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our apparel planning team, your role will be vital in ensuring we have the right stock in place at the right time, while understanding our customers' needs, improving inventory efficiency, and driving overall commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and managing financial plans to achieve sales, profit, stockturn, and ROI targets
  • Delivering key profit objectives through innovation, customer orientation, and analysis-driven decision-making
  • Establishing strategies to satisfy target customers and align with business objectives
  • Developing product assortments that meet customer needs and drive business growth
  • Trading businesses to maximize opportunities and minimize risks
  • Monitoring market pricing and adjusting strategies to maintain competitiveness
  • Controlling Open to Buy and positioning private label products to stand out in a competitive market
  • Forecasting stock requirements to optimize revenue, margin, and stock turn performance

What You'll Need

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Strong commercial acumen and numerical skills, with high attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Ability to observe, interpret, and act upon trends in customer behavior
  • Highly inquisitive and self-driven, with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to develop accurate financial plans and assortment plans that deliver financial outcomes
  • Quantification of individual products over time
  • Proficient in business intelligence tools, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Planning experience within apparel/softgoods and across various categories is advantageous
  • Proven experience in merchandise planning, buying, or category management
  • Strong analytical skills with a commercial mindset
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
