Senior Apparel Buyer

As a senior buyer in the apparel and textiles industry, you will have the opportunity to drive category growth and unleash your creativity by developing commercially relevant fabric ranges.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience as a category manager or buyer in apparel or textiles, with excellent textile product knowledge and understanding of fabric construction.

A degree in merchandise buying or business is highly regarded, but not essential. The successful applicant will have proven experience in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities, and strong commercial acumen.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams, are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Play a critical role in delivering the business strategy and enhancing the retailer's experience
  • Build commercially balanced product ranges aligned with company objectives, managing the end-to-end product lifecycle including product, pricing and go-to-market plans
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve financial objectives including sales, profit and stock turnover
  • Recognise and interpret trends to build ranges that maintain consistent brand identity
  • Apply commercial skills and customer insights to deliver long-term strategic growth
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Category Manager or Buyer in apparel or textiles
  • Excellent textile product knowledge and understanding of fabric construction
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Passion for continuous improvement and delivering outstanding results
