The successful Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for implementing and executing the strategic plan with a focus on growth, achieved by establishing a high-performing culture focused on seamless execution.

This role demands an experienced leader with a track record of delivering exceptional results in a timely manner. Business acumen, inspirational leadership, natural deal instincts, and an innate desire to succeed are essential personality traits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proven executive leadership experience with a track record of delivering results that exceed expectations, preferably in mining or contract mining.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of experience in mining, with a strong understanding of production, safety, and cost dynamics.
  • Process-driven leadership style and decision-making approach relying on systems, procedures, and structured methods.
  • Demonstrated success in executing opportunities that lead business transformation, evident through effective negotiation and a track record of closing deals.
  • Strong financial acumen, including profit and loss responsibility and commercial contract negotiation.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and relationship building skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering, Commerce/Business, or related discipline (an MBA or other post-graduate qualification is desirable).
