About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team at our Edinburgh Parks site. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage and maintain existing automation systems, including PLC and SCADA systems
  • Develop and implement solutions to deliver energy and water savings
  • Support and coach on-site electricians and programmers for development and troubleshooting
  • Manage electrical engineering projects and ensure project plans are adequately developed
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Practical experience with PLC systems and SCADA systems
  • Communication and leadership skills combined with the ability to provide advanced technical solutions and problem solve
  • Experience in an engineering role with system design, implementation, and commissioning
  • Strong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems
  • Ability to work as part of a professional, skilled, and flexible team
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
  • Coaching and management of team members
  • Knowledge of instrumentation and machine safety
