About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at Primary Connect, a leading food and retail supply chain network in Australia and New Zealand. As an Automation Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated material handling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Automation supplier to ensure correct operation and consistency across multiple components of the Automated material handling system
  • Ensure the material flow, identifying issues early on, and reporting progress to the site test team
  • Support the execution of our Automation Test Strategy
  • Observe and record the PLC and Low Level Control functionality
  • Identify and coordinate any requirement for upcoming tests or activities, including people and material handling equipment
  • Validate physical stock movements and flow, ensuring that our automation systems are functioning at their optimal level
Requirements
  • Previous exposure to Automated Material handling systems
  • Background as a control room operator/ Flow analyst
  • Experience with reviewing equipment specification documents
  • Prior participation in the installation, commissioning or testing of a material handling system
  • Experience with executing User Acceptance Testing
