This role offers an opportunity to advance your career in human resources by working as a strategic business partner and contributing to the delivery of key initiatives that align with our business strategy.

We are seeking an experienced HR professional who can provide support and guidance to our operations team and broader group on human resources matters. The successful candidate will focus on building people capability, implementing developmental strategies, and managing employee-related issues effectively.

About the Job Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to delivering human resources initiatives that align with our business strategy
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including operations, employees, and client representatives
  • Assisting leaders in managing and taking accountability for people decisions effectively and consistently
  • Providing advice and support across all business areas to ensure understanding of employment legislation and employee entitlements
  • Assisting in reviewing HR policies and procedures
  • Education and coaching managers and employees on HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Supporting and coaching stakeholders regarding employee relations and performance management
  • Assisting in managing disciplinary matters, employee issues, or grievances
  • Contribution to HR reporting and data analytics
  • Facilitating the roll-out of HR-related training and workshops as required

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in an operational HR role, preferably in the mining or resources sector
  • High-level communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels
  • Ability to educate and coach various levels on employment legislation and other legislative observations
  • Highly developed planning and organisation skills
  • Good level of knowledge and understanding of employment and industrial relations, legislation, and regulations
