About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Lead to join our Asia-Pacific Operations team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the annual data privacy plan for Australia, leading a team of privacy champions, and ensuring compliance with Aon's privacy/security requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage the annual data privacy plan for Australia, working closely with the global privacy office.
  • Train and lead a team of privacy champions to assist with privacy-related queries, breaches, and requests.
  • Guide the privacy champions to maintain up-to-date records of personal data processing in their areas of the business.
  • Assist with privacy impact assessments for new IT products or system changes.
  • Collaborate with other privacy leads in the Pacific and Asia region and support the Data Privacy Lead for Asia.
  • Present privacy-related data and risk issues at Risk Committee level.
  • Review and update privacy notices, policies, and guidelines.
  • Ensure supplier and customer contracts comply with Aon's privacy/security requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate privacy-related risks in the business.
  • Support privacy and security-related projects.
  • Implement new privacy laws into the business.
  • Document how Aon's Pacific businesses handle personal data.
  • Develop and maintain processes to respond to data breaches and protection requests.
  • Support the Asia Pacific Chief Risk Officer and GPO with board reporting and privacy training.
Requirements
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with senior colleagues.
  • Previous experience as a data privacy lead, privacy, legal, or compliance officer preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good understanding of Privacy Legislation in Australia.
