About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Manager to join our Privacy Engineering Team at Canva. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our user privacy strategy, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of data protection and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement user privacy strategy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, and product, to ensure that our products meet user privacy expectations.
  • Design and implement data governance and compliance frameworks to ensure data protection and security.
  • Work closely with our Privacy Engineering Team to develop and implement programmatic interfaces for data consumption and enforcement of data policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including data specialists and product teams, to ensure data is used according to user preferences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in data privacy, dealing with consent, data sharing, and data subject access requirements.
  • Experience in crafting and implementing data classification and governance systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, legal, and product.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance multiple perspectives and priorities.
  • Experience in working with data protection regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
