Key Responsibilities
  • Fleet Operations Management:
    • Oversee daily operations of the fleet, including scheduling, vessel availability, and ensuring vessels meet operational standards.
    • Coordinate staff schedules and rosters.
    • Ensure all vessels comply with relevant marine regulations and company policies.
  • Vessel Maintenance & Safety:
    • Schedule and manage routine and preventative maintenance to ensure all vessels remain in top condition.
    • Coordinate major repair and capital improvement projects, including overseeing vendor relationships and project timelines.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and maintain updated documentation on vessel safety requirements and certifications.
  • Owner Relations & Customer Service:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for owners, addressing enquiries, concerns, and scheduling requests.
    • Ensure owner satisfaction through proactive communication, addressing any operational issues promptly.
    • Assist with owner orientations and events, fostering a sense of community among the owners.
  • Team Leadership & Staff Coordination:
    • Lead and manage the fleet crew, including skippers, deckhands, and support staff, ensuring high standards of service and professionalism.
    • Conduct training and development programs to keep staff informed of safety protocols, customer service expectations, and operational procedures.
    • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance management of fleet staff.
  • Budgeting & Reporting:
    • Manage the fleet budget, including tracking expenses, planning for maintenance costs, and preparing budget reports.
    • Track fleet performance metrics, prepare monthly reports on fleet status, and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Average Salary: AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
