Our organization requires a skilled technician to manage and troubleshoot point-of-sale systems and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email, providing technical support and issue resolution for POS systems and applications.
  • Maintain and modify various Point-of-Sale and software systems, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.
  • Perform maintenance and modification of merchant gateway accounts using partner interfaces, facilitating smooth transactions and minimizing downtime.
  • Provide remote and onsite installation and training to new customers for integrated/POS software solutions, enhancing their productivity and efficiency.
  • Set up, repair, deploy, and reprogram Point-of-Sale equipment and/or software, guaranteeing maximum uptime and minimal disruptions.
  • Conduct and control remote training sessions utilizing LogMeIn Rescue or other web-conferencing applications, fostering knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Collaborate with internal clients, sales teams, and vendor partners to provide pre-sales support for Point-of-Sale, middleware, and related products and services.
  • Utilize multiple software and web-based systems to track, report, and analyze technical issues and problems associated with our products and services.
  • Participate in ongoing product and service training, effectively cross-training team members to ensure a high level of expertise and adaptability.
Requirements:
  • Professional IT certifications or at least one year of experience in a remote technical helpdesk role.
  • Prior history and experience working in the restaurant/bar hospitality industry.
  • Applicable work experience with point-of-sale systems.
  • Understanding of relational databases.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience installing, modifying, and troubleshooting Windows 10, 8, and 7 operating systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience installing, modifying, and troubleshooting printers in multiple configurations.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedural, and technical manuals.
  • Experience with and the ability to install and troubleshoot mobile operating platforms: Android and iOS.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritize workload, meet required deadlines, and solve complex problems.
  • Must be able to create, modify, and complete business requirement documents.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic industry and work in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Ability to maintain productive relationships with third-party providers and value-added resellers.
