Job Summary

An Environmental Coordinator role is available to ensure day-to-day compliance with environmental specifications, legislation, approvals and other relevant environmental requirements. The successful candidate will support the implementation of environmental management and sustainability measures as defined by the Project Environmental Management Plan, contractual and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in project planning and risk assessment activities to identify and control environmental risks and opportunities.
  • Support the planning, inspection and monitoring of construction activities linked to environmental constraints/risks such as erosion & sediment control, vegetation clearing, night works, heritage protection and contamination management.
  • Conduct regular environmental and sustainability inspections and monitoring requirements as defined in the Project Environmental Management Plans.

The ideal candidate would have a tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Engineering or equivalent. Demonstrated experience in inspection and monitoring of construction activities linked to environmental constraints/risks is essential.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Management, Engineering or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspection and monitoring of construction activities linked to environmental constraints/risks.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in Excel a must.
