Facilities Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Operations Centre (FOC) Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for monitoring the data centre's physical infrastructure and serving as a facilitator for Large Scale Events (LSEs) and Critical Site Events (CSEs).
The successful candidate will have an understanding of data centre IT infrastructure and data centre facilities infrastructure, with the ability to think outside the box. They will provide assistance and support to the onsite team, help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels.
This role will align the FOC with larger objectives of other business and peer organisations, contributing to growing the team toward operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor the data centre Amazon facilities infrastructure platform.
- Serve as a point of contact for internal and external teams.
- Assist with the development of communication and escalation protocols to improve team performance.
- Contribute to outage post mortem analysis.
- Ensure records are updated in a timely manner.
- Assist with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts.
- Assist with the development of tools to enhance team performance.
Shift work may include weekends and holidays. The ideal candidate will hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance.
Requirements- 2+ years of Electrical or Mechanical Experience.
- 1+ years of experience with Building and/or Electrical Platform Management Systems.
- 2+ years' experience in Data Centre Engineering/Operations.
Preferred qualifications include 3+ years in a large-scale data centre and 3+ years in a NOC or similar, with strong verbal and written communication skills and strong Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to maintain SLAs through proactive issue detection, documentation, and root cause analysis is essential.
