About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Service Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Mackay. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for leading a safe, efficient, and productive service operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the Mackay service operation to ensure exceptional customer service and value.
- Attract, develop, and retain a highly skilled and dedicated service team.
- Implement OEM processes and procedures to drive business growth and development.
- Assist the Service Manager in developing and expanding the Service Department Business Plan.
- Monitor customer service trends and implement improvements to elevate the overall service experience.
- Provide effective communication to the workshop employees through daily toolbox meetings.
- Plan for the future of the department and implement actions to ensure continued growth and development.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve the service department.
About You
To be successful, you will need to demonstrate a commitment to safe working practices and have completed appropriate trade and/or management qualifications. You will also require a minimum of 5 years' experience in the heavy engine related business or similar, as well as advanced knowledge of Penske brands Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, MTU, Detroit & Allison.
