Lead Process Engineer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Lead Process Engineer to join our Operations business in Perth CBD. This permanent role is available as a full-time or part-time (job share) basis and offers a unique opportunity to partner with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry on a major brownfields Engineering Service Contract.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation, and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry. With a strong focus on safety, technical excellence, and commercial acumen, you will work closely with our clients to develop innovative solutions that drive efficiency, sustainability, and optimization.

The ideal candidate will have a Chemical Engineering degree from a recognized institution and at least 15 years of relevant design engineering experience within the Oil & Gas production and/or processing industries. You will be a recognized expert in Process engineering, with a strong understanding of advanced principles and techniques, and experience delivering in a challenging and complex multi-discipline environment.

As a leader of people, you will be responsible for engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energizing diverse teams to adopt best practices. You will have a professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and legislation, with the ability to apply relevant technical practices, codes, and standards.

We are looking for a commercially astute individual with a solutions mindset, skilled in the management of risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical, and commercial requirements. You will be an articulate communicator, with well-developed technical report writing and professional presentation skills.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading process engineering teams to deliver brownfields engineering services
  • Developing and implementing process engineering solutions that drive efficiency and sustainability
  • Managing risk and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks and legislation
  • Collaborating with clients to develop innovative solutions that meet their needs
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to teams
