About the Role

We are seeking highly skilled Water Treatment Experts to join our national team in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work on iconic projects that drive future-ready outcomes for clients and communities.

Our national treatment team is currently engaged in diverse projects across Australia, including the upgrade of water treatment plants, desalination plants, and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work within a national, multi-disciplinary water treatment team to achieve project objectives.
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity, overseeing scope, day-to-day tasks, and the production of concise, high-quality technical documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to project management, including technical review, risk management, and commercial oversight.
  • Apply state and federal water legislation, industry standards, and guidelines.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, including clients and vendors.
  • Provide technical input to proposals and pursue business development opportunities.
  • Stay updated on water and wastewater technology advancements, offering technical expertise and innovation in project design and procurement.
  • Engage in company development initiatives and mentor staff through active participation in the Mentoring Program.
  • Contribute actively to industry development, participating in committees, industry bodies, and delivering papers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, MIEAust or IChemE equivalent
  • CPEng and RPEQ accreditation or working towards
  • Proven experience in engineering consulting is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Australian water industry with a water treatment focus is an advantage.
  • Broad technical skills in Water and/or Wastewater Treatment/Process engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with Mass Balance, Design Basis, Equipment Sizing, PFD, P&ID, and FDs.
  • Proven experience in the process design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
  • Experience with modeling software and analytics techniques
  • Ability to break down complex problems, develop strategic responses, and present to stakeholders for consensus.
  • Innovative thinking and challenging the status quo.
  • Identifying and managing strategic risks in project delivery.
  • Interest in environmental, sustainability, and social impacts, incorporating these into decision-making.
  • Experience with CHAIR, HAZOP, and related safety practices and processes.
  • Ability to prepare and review technical reports for medium to large projects.
  • Plant commissioning experience is an asset
