Technical Support Specialist

This role is critical to our IT Services Team, providing technical support and advice to users across multiple platforms and technologies.

  • Field incoming ServiceNow tickets for Incident and Request Management
  • Provide expert advice, support, and documentation on operating services, including monitoring, and alerting platforms
  • Collaborate with Service Desk, Field Engineers, and Operations peers on a wide range of systems and platforms
  • Plan, Design and Develop platform upgrades within prescribed upgrade cycles, ensuring currency alignment
  • Identify system, infrastructure, and project inter-dependencies and balance competing demands to ensure support deliverables are achieved

To succeed in this role, you will be a hands-on, team-oriented professional who is creative, inquisitive, and eager to take ownership of your work while adhering to required protocols and processes.

Key Requirements
  • Relevant academic qualifications (technical and/or business related)
  • Proficient understanding of T-SQL (MSSQL 2012-2019)
  • Familiarity with traditional architectural domains: Business, Application, Integration, Data, Information and Infrastructure & Technical
  • Strong knowledge of cloud, PaaS (Microsoft's 365 suite essential) as well as platforms like Dynamics 365, Salesforce, ServiceNow, iChris/HRESS, Workday and KRONOS Dimensions
  • Demonstrated design, build, and run skills in Office 365, Power Platform, Azure IaaS (incl. Azure AD), SaaS, platform integration, data classification and categorization, and automation where applicable
  • Knowledge of ETL Processes
  • Experience in supporting Civica CX is highly desirable
