Our client seeks an experienced platform & virtualisation specialist to provide guidance and support of core services within the hosting team. This will include providing expert-level technical advice, design, planning, and building of the Private Cloud Infrastructure which underpin the organisations critical systems.

**Responsibilities.**
- Provide technical support, including installation, configuration, maintenance, security & compliance of all Storage & Virtualisation infrastructure.
- Implement & support internal/private cloud environments.
- Operational acceptance and input into design and architecture
- hardware configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation & upgrade of physical & virtual environments.
- Infrastructure design and architecture knowledge.
- Be part of an on-call roster.

**Experience required.**
- Strong background in VMWare [ESXi] and OR MS Hypervisor technologies.
- Experience in virtualisation & cloud hardware, Infrastructure implementation.
- Strong background in SAN storage technologies, iSCSI/FC/NFS - installation and configuration.
- Strong background in Scripting, Bash / Go or Python...
- Experienced in server hardware rack & stack, configuration, implementation, maintenance and design.
- Understanding of networking concepts [R&S and Firewall experience]
- Knowledge of Linux O/S, command line level.
- Knowledge of GitOps / IaaC / Terraform / CI/CD pipelines will be Highly Advantageous.
- AWS Cloud certification will be Highly Advantageous.
