Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Platform Strategist to support our organization on a greenfield project.

The Opportunity

This role involves designing, developing, and operating the technology platform and engineering foundations for a cutting-edge talent marketplace. The successful candidate will establish the technical standards, grow and mentor the team, and lead guilds/communities of practice so product and data squads can deliver faster, safer, and more efficiently.

Main Responsibilities
  • Define target architecture and non-functional requirements (NFRs); publish reference implementations for teams to adopt.
  • Grow and evolve the engineering team and culture; hiring, onboarding, coaching, and demonstrating best practices.
  • Develop reusable templates, CI/CD + IaC kits, and standards; drive adoption across squads.
  • Operate reliable, observable, cost-efficient foundations (K8s/APIs/events); own service-level objectives (SLOs) and error budgets.
  • Maintain the integrated backlog with Product & Experience and Data Practice leads; sequence releases; manage vendors to service-level agreements (SLAs).
Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in software engineering and architecture, with 3+ years leading platform and solution delivery for multi-channel products.
  • Experience owning platform roadmaps/backlogs; shipping iterative platform capabilities linked to product outcomes/objectives.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Docker, API gateway/service mesh, event streaming (e.g., Kafka), CI/CD & Terraform, and observability tools.
