Safety, Health and Compliance Coordinator

Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Compliance Coordinator to join our team. This role will be based in North Fremantle and will play a key part in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, customers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with group HSE standards and statutory obligations.
- Mentor and coach site Supervisors on the effective implementation of SHEMS.
- Collate reports on incidents, safety statistics, and recordable injuries for corporate reporting purposes.
- Conduct accident/incident investigations using ICAM methodology and ensure completion of online incident management system.
- Participate in OHS committees and forums to ensure sites comply with group standards and enterprise agreement.
- Provide input on system improvements and initiatives to ensure legal and statutory compliance.
- Review contractor Safety plans and submissions to ensure compliance with Qube requirements.
- Implement Qube safety strategies across all sites, developing site safety plans and monitoring their effectiveness.
- Lead risk assessment processes for operations, work environment, current work practices/procedures, and develop plans to minimize risks.
- Work closely with the State SHE Manager to ensure corporate governance processes and protocols are implemented within business units.
- Manage Qube's environmental management system, ensuring compliance with group standards and statutory obligations.
- Previous transport industry experience preferred but not required; willing to train and upskill the right candidate.
- Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment.
- Environmental qualifications would be beneficial.
- Training/Auditing Qualifications would be well regarded.
- Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with various people.
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution.
- Reliable, team player, with a can-do attitude.
- Strong data entry and accuracy.
- Outstanding attention to detail, time management, and organisation skills.
