Ventia is seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to join their global organisation. As a SHEQ Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.



Key Responsibilities




  • Audit and review SOPs and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and provide guidance to employees on these processes.
  • Develop and coordinate health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems to enhance business performance and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and support to employees on health and safety compliance within a risk management framework, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence by conducting regular site visits, providing coaching, and mentoring employees to improve performance and compliance in the field.


Requirements and Qualifications



To be successful in this role, you should possess:




  • Health and Safety or Risk Management certification, or equivalent extensive knowledge and experience in health and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills, with experience in managing stakeholders at various levels regarding health and safety.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop innovative health and safety initiatives.
  • Proven technical experience in power systems, overhead distribution, or transmission (desirable but not essential).
  • Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Overhead (UET30619) or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
