About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Care Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at St Vincent's Care Services in Townsville. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our care facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification or experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing preventive maintenance programs and record-keeping. You will be responsible for coordinating external service providers, prioritizing corrective maintenance tasks, and performing routine maintenance works.

Able to work independently and as part of a team, you will possess excellent customer service skills, problem-solving abilities, and a strong attention to detail. Experience in aged care or community care is highly desirable, along with sound Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our care facilities
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan
  • Coordinate external service providers and prioritize corrective maintenance tasks to meet business needs
  • Perform routine maintenance works, including repairs to plaster walls, minor plumbing repairs, lamp replacement, and carpentry works
  • Assist in the review of facilities emergency procedures and participate in fire practice drills
  • Provide excellent customer service and communication to residents, families, and staff
Requirements
  • Trade qualification or experience in a similar role
  • Proven knowledge of managing preventive maintenance programs and record-keeping
  • Excellent customer service skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills
  • Aged or community care experience preferred
