Electrical Project Lead

We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Professional to oversee the execution of the Belmont Desalination Plant project in Newcastle, NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and administer construction engineering activities to ensure projects align with plans, designs, and specifications.
  • Assist with budget preparation and reporting.
  • Monitor project progress for adherence to program and report to the Area Manager.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects.
  • Engage with clients and work on projects throughout their lifecycle from planning to delivery and handover.
  • Exercise financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions.
  • Delegate tasks and review work for accuracy and adherence to required standards.
  • Apply knowledge of contractual and legislative requirements relevant to the project.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative safety, environment, and quality risk assessments to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes.
  • Analyse and use document and record management, progress, and project performance reporting compliance reporting.
  • Develop strong relationships by managing work and performance of subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  • Support the planning, procurement, and delivery of various supplier packages.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Previous experience working on infrastructure projects exceeding $100m.
  • Experience in Water Infrastructure or Building Services is highly desirable.
  • Project delivery and tender experience.
  • Able to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships.
  • A proactive approach with a hands-on attitude.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Newcastle, NSW. Relocation support can be provided.
