Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead the Parliamentary Engagement Branch, providing exceptional public facing services and strategic management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a range of experiences and services for parliamentarians, building occupants, and visitors, including tours, public programs, and the operation of the Parliament House Shop.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategic Management: Lead the development and delivery of a broad range of experiences and services, ensuring high-quality outcomes and effective risk management.
  • Technical Advice: Provide expert advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, contributing to the overall strategic planning and operational capability of DPS.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the department and with external cultural institutions, representing the Branch and/or the Department at various committees/project boards.
  • Change Management: Advise and assist the Secretary and the Executive on key strategic issues and change initiatives, ensuring seamless implementation and minimal disruption.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Parliamentary Engagement Branch, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
