Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Casualty Underwriter to join our team in NSW. As a key player in the Casualty department, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal accounts, developing business from allocated panels of brokers, and building long-term relationships with key producers and insureds.

Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite new and renewal Casualty accounts in line with Chubb guidelines
  • Develop business from allocated panels of Independent and Global brokers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key producers and insureds
  • Present to prospective producers and initiate new producer appointments
  • Identify and share information on competitors' products and underwriting
Requirements:
  • 5 years' experience in a Casualty or Package Underwriting and Development role with an insurance company
  • Strong broker relationships across Independent and Global broking houses
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to unique underwriting situations
  • Familiarity with advanced pricing techniques and account servicing costs
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and training skills
