About the Role

We are seeking an experienced leader to join our team as a Product & Underwriting Manager - Casualty. This is a critical role that will drive the profitability and underwriting excellence of our casualty portfolios.

In this position, you will be responsible for setting the underwriting appetite and standards for our casualty product offerings. You will also be tasked with driving underwriting quality governance and assurance through the execution of a comprehensive framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to achieve profitable growth in long-tail lines
  • Maintain deep knowledge of casualty lines products and exposures, including policy drafting in long-tail lines
  • Lead the development of rating and pricing tools to support underwriting decisions
  • Establish and maintain effective stakeholder management within a commercial environment
  • Cultivate a positive working environment and mentor others to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in technical underwriting roles in casualty lines
  • Proven track record of delivering profitable growth in long-tail lines
  • Commercial acumen and decisiveness on critical business issues
  • Confident communicator with the ability to negotiate at all levels
  • Experience in business and performance report writing
  • Ability to display sound judgment and problem-solving skills
