As the Head of Technology, you will be responsible for leading the Technologies Faculty and delivering high-quality, innovative technology programs that meet the needs of a diverse student body.

With a strong focus on digital literacy and contemporary teaching pedagogy, you will oversee the implementation of the Future Ready Skills program and ensure its success and alignment with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Technologies Faculty and develop strategic plans for the department.
  • Teach a broad range of technology subjects from Years 7-12 and foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Mentor and support faculty members, promoting professional growth and collaboration.
  • Manage the integration of digital literacy across the curriculum and stay current with educational trends and best practices.
  • Engage with the school community and promote the importance of technology education.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience teaching technology subjects across Years 7-12.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in an educational setting, with a proven ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • Strong digital literacy skills and an in-depth understanding of contemporary teaching pedagogy.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Curriculum and its application in technology education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and students.
