Role Overview

The Funding Allocations and Financial Reform Lead plays a pivotal role in delivering strategic support to the department's funding arrangements.

  • Provides expert advice and support in reforms and initiatives that drive change, ensuring the smooth operation of existing policy arrangements.

This position is critical in supporting the Chief Operating Officer and Divisions within the Department for Education.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver operational and strategic support in relation to the department's funding arrangements.
  • IDentify and deliver process improvements that support the Department's policy objectives.

This role requires a strong understanding of accounting, economics, and financial management principles, as well as exceptional communication and project management skills.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, economics, or related financial/business management field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, economics, and financial management principles.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a Department for Human Services working with children check prior to employment, which needs to be renewed every five years before expiry.

Working Conditions

This is an ongoing full-time position, with flexibility to work part-time if required. The successful applicant will be required to collaborate with colleagues across the Department for Education.
