Job Description:

This role will be responsible for representing the organization as an industrial advocate within various forums, including the Queensland Industrial Relations Commission and the Queensland Human Rights Commission. The position requires developing detailed submissions, briefing, and working closely with senior management to recommend strategies for resolving complex industrial matters.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Research and investigate formal complaints, identifying risks and alternatives when required.
  • Prepare written submissions for industrial forums, particularly Public Service Appeals in the QIRC.
  • Provide advocacy and resolution services on complex cases in various forums, especially conciliation conferences in the QIRC.
  • Offer strategic, tactical, and operational advice and support to client groups on workforce matters.
