The role of a Midwifery Support Lead is pivotal in ensuring Newly Qualified and International Midwives have a positive working environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sustain up-to-date knowledge on the preceptor program, providing guidance and support to practitioners as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior staff members to deliver comprehensive inductions and orientations for learners and newly qualified midwives.
  • Work closely with the Head of Education to ensure consistency across post-registration education initiatives.
  • Contribute to policy development regarding placements of post-registration preceptor practitioners and B5 RNs.
  • Promote leadership and advocate for appropriate midwifery care as a role model.
