Lead Information Services and Technology Operations

">About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to drive strategic growth and innovation in information services and technology. Reporting directly to the Director Corporate, Community and Development Services, you will be responsible for planning, leading and managing the Information Services Department.

">Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ICT strategy aligned with Council's operational and strategic plans
  • Provide expert advice on future ICT requirements and priorities for development and maintenance of the corporate computer environment
  • Liaise effectively with all levels of management and employees within the Council on IS matters, as well as external parties as required
  • Ensure network security and implement IS disaster recovery measures as identified in Council's Disaster Recovery Plan
">Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business or Management, or a relevant discipline with significant experience in both operational areas and management
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with proven management experience in a multi-disciplined environment
  • Proven ability in managing, delivering, and monitoring budgets effectively
  • Extensive experience in information technology management, particularly in the implementation and management of financial systems, procedures and policies
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, accurate and practical advice to Directors, Managers and Employees
  • Advanced ability to use current technology to manage systems and software
