Alfred Health, a leading healthcare provider in Melbourne's inner southeast suburbs, is offering an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to transition into mental health nursing.
About the RoleThis permanent, part-time position (0.8EFT) is based at The Alfred Hospital's Adult Inpatient Units or Community Care Units, or Aged Mental Health Services. As a Registered Nurse Grade 2, you will have the opportunity to develop skills in risk assessment, mental state assessment, care planning, and knowledge of Mental Health nursing care and practice.
The Switch transition to mental health nursing program provides support and training to enable a smooth transition into this new role. You will work closely with a dedicated Clinical Educator to develop your Mental Health Nursing knowledge and skills.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of clinical recovery and individual recovery efforts in the Inner South Eastern area of Melbourne
- Participate in a supportive multi-disciplinary team environment
- Be involved in an innovative mental health program that makes a real difference
- Frequent professional development opportunities
- Regular professional supervision
- Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA as a Division 1 Registered Nurse

- Full Covid-19 and Influenza vaccination
- Be willing to undergo a Background Check
