Job Description

The Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program 2025 is a 12-month program designed to facilitate the transition of novice nurses to advanced beginner practitioners. This structured and clinically focused program provides support to EN graduates, enabling them to adjust to professional roles and become part of a high-quality and sustainable workforce.

The program offers:

  • 0.8 EFT (4 shifts per week), paid fortnightly.
  • Two six-month rotations in a range of clinical areas.
  • Increased confidence and competence with career pathway and provision of quality patient care.
  • Comprehensive orientation program.
  • Paid study days.
  • Extensive support offered through Preceptors, Clinical Support Nurses, Clinical Nurse Educators, and Northern Health Nursing Workforce.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Recent completion of an NMBA-approved Diploma of Nursing.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct.
  • Well-developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Highly motivated and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Demonstrated provision of quality patient care.

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
