Software Engineer - Azure Core Storage Role

As a Software Engineer in this team, you will play a key role in defining the technical direction of the most complex pieces of Azure Storage. You will work on the latest server technologies and highly distributed systems, focusing on reliability, scalability, performance, and debuggability.

Azure Storage is the core of Microsoft's Cloud, providing vast amounts of capacity across multiple regions, data centers, and storage clusters. It powers millions of virtual machines, holds millions of hours of video, billions of photos, and vast amounts of analytics data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders to determine user requirements for features.
  • Support identification of dependencies and develop design documents for product features with oversight.
  • Learn to create and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing code as applicable.
  • Assist in breaking down work items into tasks and provide estimations.
  • Monitor system/product/service for issues and recommend actions to restore functionality following established procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with proven experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • OR equivalent experience.
