Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and experienced Public Relations Specialist to join our award-winning PR team at Domain Group in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of our press office and execute PR campaigns that creatively and uniquely position Domain Group within the property media landscape.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Nurturing and enhancing Domain Group's existing media relationships and partnerships, and seeking out new opportunities to reach broader audiences.
  • Staying up-to-date with property and home content, general news, and wider social-economic issues that may shape media opportunities in our field.
  • Developing creative news angles, pitching stories, and seeing them come to life in the media.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand objectives and projects, to ensure work is aligned.
  • Monitoring the media landscape across relevant topics and engaging in business strategy and marketing objectives related to PR opportunities.
  • Having a growth mindset, being a quick thinker, and having an interest in analysing data in a PR context.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in PR/Communications or journalism, ideally within a medium to large company or at an agency.
  • Proven ability to analyse complex data and convert it to simple, accessible communications, such as media releases, media pitches, and spokesperson briefing documents.
  • Experience managing media monitoring, updating media databases, and creating monthly and campaign reporting.
  • Outstanding written communication skills (clear, articulate, and engaging).
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
